Trivia
  • Filming Location(s)Crescent City, California.
  • Alternate Tagline(s)If you go down in the woods today you're sure of...
  • Finding a title for the film proved to be difficult.  In fact, the working title at one point was Three Blind Mice simply because of the scene where the cast sings it on the bus.
  • The wilderness filming location offered few sources of light.  It is because of this reason that a lot of the night scenes are dark and difficult to see.  The bus-attack scene had to be filmed day-for-night just so the bus was visible from farther away.
  • The film was shot in 1981, but was shelved because it couldn't find a distributor right away.  The film wasn't released until 1983 and only then got distribution due to the rising stardom of Daryl Hannah and Adrian Zmed.
  • The UK cinema release, Campsite Massacre, is uncut.  The video version, Final Terror, is cut by 27 seconds with edits to the opening murders.

Goofs

  • In the beginning there is a moped crash involving a boy and a girl.  Before the crash the girl's hair is short, during the crash it's long, and after it's short again.

Personal History

  • Bought my copy from an FYE for $4.99.
  • I got this film for two reasons...The killer is a "woman" and her weapon of choice is a blade strapped to her hand.

Don't Move, Don't Breathe, and Whatever You Do...DON'T LOOK BEHIND YOU!
